PELL Grant
For many students, Pell Grants provide a foundation of financial aid to which other federal and non-federal sources may be added. To determine if a student is eligible for a Pell Grant, the U.S. Department of Education uses a standard formula established by Congress to evaluate the financial information reported on the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (FAFSA). This application is filled out during the financial aid process. Students who have received a Bachelor's Degree are not eligible for a Federal Pell Grant.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
A federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant may be awarded to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need, as determined by the school. Priority is given to federal Pell Grant recipients. There is no guarantee that every eligible student will be able to receive this type of funding.
