OBJECTIVE

Upon successful completion of the Massage Therapy program, the student will have been trained in the necessary skills of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic massage to apply a variety of manual massage techniques in order to positively affect the health and well-being of clients.  The program also trains the student to understand various Western and non-Western massage systems, to understand the regulations/laws and business skills required to successfully operate a massage practice, to know how to promote themselves in the massage profession, and to develop a caring attitude toward their clients.

 

Having successfully completed the program, the student may qualify for such entry-level positions as Massage Therapist and Massage Practitioner within a variety of settings.
