Admissions Process & Criteria

Prospective students seeking acceptance into a program at DPT Business School must first submit a completed application to an admissions representative. The application is used for a review of the applicant's prior education and work experience.

All applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and must provide proof of high school graduation or the equivalency certificate. DPT recognizes that in some cases applicants cannot obtain this proof. Entirely at DPT’s discretion, non-native-born American residents with legitimate lack of access to a copy of their high school diplomas may be allowed to substitute the DPT Attestation of Educational Level, which includes an explanation for the lack of proof that is acceptable to DPT. Applicants to Business and Allied Health programs must be 18 years of age or 17 with parental consent. Applicants to the English as a Second Language (ESL) programs must have previous work experience or skills (either in the U.S. or in their country of origin) and be at least 18 years of age at the time they start classes. ESL applicants are also required to take an assessment test to determine appropriate class placement.

All applicants for Business and Technical programs are also required to complete the admission's examination. No preparation is needed for this evaluation. The evaluation is designed to measure a candidate's ability to perform both in school and on the job. The school currently uses the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam for all applicants.

Personal interviews are conducted with each applicant by an admissions representative to review the candidate's educational background, work experience, financial plans, and career goals. During the interview, the Admissions Representative will also review the results of the admissions examination and advise the applicant on the most appropriate career path.

Individuals who wish to apply to the school must participate in an on-site visit. This visit consists of a personal interview, career evaluation, and a tour of the school's facilities. Applicants who cannot participate in all of the above are not eligible to enroll.

Applicants with special needs should meet with the School's Director of Education to determine if the school can accommodate the applicant's needs prior to enrolling.

DPT Business School does not deny admission on the basis of race, religion, age, creed, color, sex, physical handicap, national origin, or sexual preference.

Enrolling in DPT Business School consists of signing an enrollment agreement, completing all admissions paperwork, and paying the registration fee. Applicants are encouraged to enroll in the program of their choice as soon as possible to ensure that a seat is available for them in the next class. Class schedules and school calendars are located in the catalog supplement.

DPT Business School reserves the right to adjust course materials, length of course, subject matter, academic policies, tuition and fees, class hours and starting dates as it may deem necessary in accordance with applicable state laws and accreditation standards.

application materials and notify applicants of its decision.  Fees for the
application are separate from school tuition and fees and are the
responsibility of the applicant.

Any questions regarding INS requirements should be directed to the Director
of International Admissions.  Non-immigrant alien students are required to
provide documentation of their financial stability while attending school.
